City / Tower Cranes
Compared to our self erecting cranes, our city/tower cranes have greater lifting capacity,
height under hook (20-40 Metres) and lifting radius (maximum jib length 52 Metres),

City/Tower cranes retain the pedestrian operator benefits of the self-erecting models,
as a full time cab based operator is not required. The key attraction of the city class crane
is its extended jib lengths and mast heights when compared to self-erectors, and its ability
to fit inside lift shafts, compared to traditional tower cranes.
A city crane can be erected and operational within two days.
A city crane's mast section is set into a concrete base with 3, 7 and 10 metre sections pinned
together to achieve the correct height under hook. The single tie jib is erected on the
ground before being lifted in one movement and secured to the top of the mast section
already erected.
