Ladybird Crane Hire is setting the standards for driver operator training in the
construction industry. Our full-time CPCS qualified instructors run specialist
pedestrian operated tower crane operator courses that can be undertaken at either
your site or at our CPCS approved test centre.
We offer the following training courses:
Driver training course - 3 day
Pedestrian tower crane operator training
Up to 4 candidates
Slinging and signalling skills
Machine familiarisation
Valid for 3 years
Covers the complete CPCS syllabus
Successful candidates issued with LBCH photocard
Driver refresher course - 1 day
One day course to ensure driver’s skills meet current standards
Up to 4 candidates
Valid for 3 years
Can be tailored to train experienced operators prior to taking CPCS exam
Successful candidates issued with LBCH photocard
Slinger/Signaller Course – 2 day
Two day course to train operators to sling and signal in safety
Up to 4 candidates
Course run at our CPCS approved test centre
Covers the complete CPCS syllabus
Successful candidates issued with LBCH photocard
CPCS Qualifications
Your operators can upgrade their qualification to a CPCS operator card. The following exams are
for operators who have passed the CSCS Health & Safety touch screen test.
All exams are taken at our CPCS approved test centre
CPCS A63 – Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane Operator
½ Day assessment split including both theory and practical exams
CPCS A40 – Slinger/Signaller
½ Day assessment split including both theory and practical exams
Note: The qualification gained is a CPCS red-card that is valid for 2 years. This can be upgraded
to a Blue card valid for 5 years by taking the NVQ level 2 within the 2 year qualifying period.
